Membangun Pertumbuhan Ekonomi melalui Hubungan IPM - Pengangguran: Pendekatan ARDL di Jawa Tengah
Abstract
Measuring the development performance of a region can be done by assessing its economic growth. The caliber of human capital and its function as a labor force are the primary catalysts for economic expansion. The objective of the study is to examine the correlation between the Human Development Index (HDI), which measures human quality, and the unemployment rate on economic growth (GRDP) in all districts/cities in Central Java Province that employed the ARDL method The study's findings, based on data spanning from 2010 to 2023, demonstrate a consistent and significant influence of HDI and TPT on GDRP, both in the short and long run. Over time, the influence of HDI on GDRP has increasingly become favorable, as has TPT. The coefficient of HDI is 0.0079 in the short term, and it increases to 0.0366 in the long term. TPT has observed a long-term decline in the coefficient value, decreasing from -0.0057 to -0.0019. This condition highlights the significance of long-term human development, particularly in the context of digitalization. An active collaboration is required among the government, companies, and society to enhance the caliber of human resources by leveraging technology.
